Ryan Cross, 34, from Nampa, Idaho, was left with a red scar down his torso after the bolt entered the top of his head and exited through the base of his back.  Mr Cross was hit by lightning during a camping trip with friends near Idaho City, when he got caught in a storm while riding his four-wheeler. He found shelter under  a tree in the woods and was looking for directions home on his phone's map to find a way out when he was hit by the lightning bolt. A Federal High Court in Lagos has restrained the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and other security agencies from arresting Senator-elect, Buruji Kashamu . The order was given on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, after a previous ruling instructing NDLEA officials to vacate Kashamu’s residence. Officials of the agency had invaded Kashamu’s house on Saturday, May 23, 2015, in a bid to arrest and extradite him to the US to face drug charges.

Nigerian pop star, Wizkid was recently spotted with Chris Brown , Jermaine Dupri , Bow Wow and nine times Grammy winning producer, Bryan Cox in a music studio in Los Angeles. Sources disclosed that the pop star is working towards breaking into the international market and has been riding on the wings of Chris Brown and Akon since he got signed on Akon's management deal. An insider further revealed that Wizkid was in the music studio with international stars for a long period of time before they all dispatched. Sources also gathered that Wizkid's favourite producer, Maleek Berry was also in the studio when the conversation was ongoing. However, the details of the discussion or outcome of their meeting was not disclosed by the source.

An Assistant Superintendent of Police ( ASP) in Ogun State has been arrested after allegedly raping a student of the Federal College of Education (FCE) in the Osiele area of the state. ASP John Mafoya was apprehended and is being interrogated for the alleged rape of the student, who has been simply identified as Oluwaseun . The incident allegedly occurred after Oluwaseun was arrested for participating in a mob attack against a corper who was accused of sexually assaulting a student, Punch reports. ASP Mafoya is said to have taken over the case and ordered Oluwaseun’s detention after which he drove her to his house in the Alanco area of Abeokuta and allegedly raped her. “After raping Oluwaseun in his house, Mafoya brought her victim back to the police post at about 10.30pm, where he again raped her in his office. He then returned her to the cell. It was the girl’s colleagues who raised N3,000 for her bail the following day,” a source at the college told Punch.

Consumer prices rising by 0.5 percent year-on-year in April , in Europe's biggest economy Germany, final data showed on Wednesday. The previous month, the consumer price index had risen by 0.3 percent on a 12-month basis, said by the federal statistics office. the final data represent a fractional upward revision from the 0.4percent originally reported at the April
